Turn resolutions into healthy reality

New Year’s resolutions are in works as Christmas baking, turkey dinners, and more treats are at the tips of everyone’s fingers. To help keep those resolutions a reality, the in motion Committee’s Community Health Challenge is set for next month.

Cranberry takes top spot in b-ball tourney

This year’s Border Bash basketball tournament went to the underdogs of Cranberry Portage. Creighton Community School held their annual tournament and found themselves fighting for third place while top spot went to Cranberry.

Bombers add fresh faces, split weekend

With a few new faces in the lineup, the Flin Flon Bombers earned a 4-2 win over the Weyburn Red Wings following a 1-0 shootout loss a night earlier.

Novice teams host Mel Pearson Memorial

The finals came down to the Flin Flon Firemen and Norway House at this year’s Mel Pearson Memorial Tournament. The Firemen fought hard throughout the weekend but came up short in the finals as Norway House took home Gold.

Boehm joins Yorkton in shocking trade

The Flin Flon Bombers have traded leading scorer Brett Boehm to the Yorkton Terriers for forward Dalton Menke and future considerations. Bombers head coach and GM Mike Reagan announced the trade last Wednesday.

Third place

The Flin Flon Bombers remain tied in third place in the Sherwood Division. Flin Flon split last weekend with a 3-0 win against the Melville Millionaires and a 5-2 loss against the Estevan Bruins. The Bombers now sit with 26 points from 28 games.

Kodiaks hosting boys’ basketball

The Creighton Kodiaks will welcome boys basketball teams to their annual Border Bash tournament this weekend. A weekend of basketball will be a great way to put a good start to the season.

Reagan enthused by new additions

December is a month of trades in the SJHL and the Flin Flon Bombers were active participants. Head coach and GM Mike Reagan has brought in three new faces as two familiar ones left for other teams.

Bombers win 3-0, then fall 5-2

The Flin Flon Bombers earned a big win over the Melville Millionaires before losing to the Estevan Bruins over the weekend. Coming off two home losses, the Bombers returned to the Whitney Forum last Friday, Dec. 6 to shut out the Millionaires 3-0.
