Cranberry takes top spot in b-ball tourney

This year’s Border Bash basketball tournament went to the underdogs of Cranberry Portage. Creighton Community School held their annual tournament and found themselves fighting for third place while top spot went to Cranberry.

Creighton Community School held their annual tournament and found themselves fighting for third place while top spot went to Cranberry.
The winning team had only practiced together twice before hitting the Creighton court, last weekend.
But it didn’t stop them as they defeated teams to move into the finals.
Cranberry Portage took on Beauval in the finals and earned top spot.
The Creighton Kodiaks had a tough weekend as they were 0-3 during the weekend – including a loss for third place.
Due to weather conditions, the tournament was down a team.
Norway House was unable to make it to Creighton and left the tournament with seven teams.
The annual Border Bash also featured a skills competition, Friday night.

Cranberry Portage came on top of the Border Bash basketball tournament, last weekend. The team defeated Beauval in the finals.

Beauval and MBCI competed in the semifinals of the Border Bash basketball tournament last weekend. Beauval won the game and went on to face Cranberry Portage in the finals – held at Creighton Community School.
