The Flin Flon Bombers went 2-0 last week to improve their record to 4-0 in December. Flin Flon has won nine of its last 11 games. As of Dec. 13, the squad sported a 15-12-0-4 record.

It was another wrestling tournament, another round of medals for Flin Flon’s Lee brothers. Carson Lee, 14, earned three golds at Alberta’s Wetaskiwin Classic, held in late November for high school wrestlers from western Canada.

The Creighton Kodiaks senior boys’ basketball team will host the first tournament of the season this weekend, with athletes rolling in from Sandy Bay, Tisdale, Norway House and Frontier Collegiate Institute.

Last Friday, Dec. 4, the Bombers shut out Estevan 6-0 at the Whitney Forum. Zac Robidoux made 32 saves to record his second shutout of the season.

Former Flin Flon Bombers forward Chris Rauckman has embraced the challenge of adjusting to the Canadian Interuniversity Sport level. As a rookie learning the ropes, Rauckman is contributing to the University of Prince Edward Island hockey team.

Flin Flon’s Dianne Burwash rink will represent northern Manitoba at the 2016 Golden Gals provincial curling bonspiel. The Burwash rink defeated Flin Flon’s Geri Kostuchuk rink last Friday, Nov. 27 for the honour.
