Wyatt Stinton and Ryder Mucha made the most of their shot at novice hockey’s biggest showcase. The two local 10-year-olds suited up at the recent Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament in Edmonton.

Former Flin Flon Bomber forward Chris Rauckman is making waves in hockey – though not in the way fans might expect. Rauckman, 22, played for Team Canada at this year’s IIHF Inline Hockey World Championship.

The Flin Flon Ski Club has been recognized after a great competitive season. The club was given a third place Most Improved Club award and banner at the Cross Country Canada annual general meeting last month in Canmore, Alberta.

The Flin Flon Bombers’ Garry Childerhose has been honoured as the SJHL’s top assistant coach. Childerhose was recently named the 2016-17 winner of the Dwight McMillan Award. Assistant coaches across the league voted on the award.

The Flin Flon Bombers have scored their biggest off-ice success in years – they’re debt-free. Outgoing secretary-treasurer David Brooks delivered the news at the team’s annual general meeting on Tuesday, May 30 at the Victoria Inn.

Former Flin Flon Bomber Paul Soubry took on a larger role in his second year at Augsburg College. Last season, Soubry saw action in just one game for his Minneapolis-based school men’s hockey team.
