Special Olympics swimmers win eight medals at provincial games

It was a golden weekend for a pair of Flin Flon swimmers. Brad Cromarty and Jennifer Milton brought home a treasure trove of medals from the Special Olympics Manitoba Summer Games, held in Brandon June 16, 17 and 18.

Brad Cromarty and Jennifer Milton brought home a treasure trove of medals from the Special Olympics Manitoba Summer Games, held in Brandon June 16, 17 and 18.

Cromarty earned a pair of gold medals for the Flin Flon Flyers, winning the division 1 men’s 50-metre backstroke and the division 1 men’s 50-metre freestyle.

Cromarty also took home two silver medals in the division 1 men’s 25-metre freestyle and the division 1 men’s 25-metre backstroke.

Milton won a silver medal in the division 2 women’s 50-metre backstroke, picking up another one in the women’s 100-metre freestyle.

Milton also won a pair of bronze medals, earning the honours in the division 3 women’s 50-metre freestyle and the division 1 women’s 100-metre backstroke.
