The Flin Flon Bombers outshot the Kindersley Klippers both Friday and Saturday night, but couldn’t outscore them. They did manage to pick up a single point in a shootout loss during the second game of the weekend series in Kindersley.

It’s been great to watch the recent resurgence of Flin Flon Bombers forward Chris Rauckman, who is now tied for the league lead with 29 goals scored in 39 games.

The Weyburn Red Wings are skating on thin ice, with mounds of red ink threatening the team’s future. Global News reports the franchise is $180,000 in debt this season with more than a dozen games left in the regular season.

The Creighton Kodiaks started off strong with a win over Frontier Collegiate in their annual Kit Klassic basketball tournament.

Flin Flon’s Parker Denture Clinic Bombers dominated The Pas Huskies in a tournament this past weekend. The Bombers defeated Huskies for a near-perfect weekend record.

Barry Smith’s rink took top spot at this year’s Mechanical and Construction Recreation Club Annual Curling Bonspiel. The four-rink bonspiel was held at the Uptown Curling Rink on Jan. 10 as Smith took the A side championship over John Vielgut.

The Flin Flon Skating Club has graduated many skaters over its 75 years, with achievements far beyond the ice surface of the Whitney Forum.
