The Hapnot Kings and Kweens soccer players wrapped up their season by giving it their all at the Manitoba Provincials this weekend in Steinbach. The Kweens went into provincials ranked ninth in the league and finished sixth.

Flin Flon Bombers defenceman Joel Webb was back home in Alberta on Sunday after requesting a trade. Bombers head coach and GM Mike Reagan said the team was aware this might be a possibility when Webb was acquired from Kindersley in the offseason.

Former Flin Flon Bomber Bradey Fidierchuk (2004-07) is an environmental scientist with EverGreen Enviro Corp., based out of Carlyle, Saskatchewan. He lives in Redvers with his girlfriend Brittany and their 17-month-old daughter Charleigh.

Three Flin Flon Bomber greats have been ranked among the WHL’s Top 125 Players of all time. Flin Flon natives and former Bombers Bobby Clarke and Ray Martyniuk made the list along with Riverton, Manitoba’s Reggie Leach.
