A US senator is calling on the NHL to fund research on what he calls “clear links” between sport-induced head trauma and brain disease later in life, the Canadian Press reports.

A summer tradition for young hockey players will soon resume. The 17th annual Flin Flon Xtreme Hockey School will run from Aug. 22 to 26 at the Whitney Forum.

A New Year’s Eve home game is among the highlights of the Flin Flon Bombers’ newly unveiled 2016-17 schedule. The Bombers will host the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Saturday, Dec. 31 for an evening game. It will mark Flin Flon’s first Dec.

All eyes in the SJHL will be on Warman, SK late next month. This year’s SJHL Showcase tournament is set to take place Sept. 25 to 28 at Legends Arena in Warman.
