Flin Flon Bombers rookie Chrystopher Collin is currently competing against some of the best junior A players from around the world. Collin made the Canada West squad for the World Junior A Challenge. The event runs Dec. 10-16 in Truro, N.S.

Flin Flon Bombers head coach and general manager Mike Reagan was pleased with the roster moves that were made at the Dec. 1 roster cutdown deadline. Junior A squads must be down to 25 players by that date.

Justin Lies and Joie Simon are skating into unknown territory. The two long-time friends and Flin Flon minor hockey products have been named team captains for northern Manitoba’s regional bantam teams.

It took a little overtime to do it, but the Flin Flon Bombers earned a big win Saturday night. The maroon and white took two points in a 4-3 OT thriller against the divisional rival Nipawin Hawks.

Details have been released on who will hit the ice for next weekend’s Montreal Canadiens alumni game. Rosters, events and related festivities have been announced for the game, set for Dec. 3 at the Whitney Forum.

Chrystopher Collin has been named to the 60-man Team Canada West selection camp roster for this year’s World Junior A Challenge (WJAC). The 18-year-old forward currently leads the Bombers with 14 goals and 22 points in 23 games.
