A pack of Hapnot Collegiate pupils has come home from a spring break they won’t soon forget. The group of students travelled across France, spending time in Paris and seeing sights like St. Malo, Mont St.

Enough of this weather already! (Inner voice: Let it go, Elly just let it go!) Whatever, there are tons of indoor activities to keep Flin Flon and area happy and humming in the next couple of weeks.

After almost a year of hard work and planning, four Flin Flon teenagers are hoping to see their vision bloom. The Flin Flon Youth Arts Council is preparing to host its first ever event.

Ham Sandwich director Sheri Pearson has one simple request for theatregoers heading to the group’s next production. “Keep an open mind.” The Flin Flon acting troupe’s latest play is Regrets Only, a political satire written by playwright Paul Rudnick.

Flin Flon songwriter CC Trubiak is in exclusive company. The Flin Flon-based singer/songwriter is among the final 10 artists remaining in this year’s CBC Searchlight competition.

The first round of results are in, and three Flin Flon musicians are in the national top 100 of the CBC Searchlight competition. CC Trubiak entered his original tune “Raven” off of his third album, McBain in early February.
