Dear Editor, How frequently do I hear people complain about things in our community and in our world and then say “but I guess there is nothing I can do about it”? In terms of our Flin Flon city council, that is not true.

Dear Editor, In his Feb. 9 letter, Jeremy Whitlock wrote that one reader claimed Whitlock would lie about the effects of radiation since he works in the nuclear field. I only pointed out he had a conflict of interest.

Dear Editor, I am writing in regards to the upcoming public meeting at City Hall on Friday, Feb. 13 dealing with the special services levy. The purpose of this levy was to shift some of the tax roll from the higher end homes to the lower end homes.

Dear Editor, I wish to respond to questions about radiation raised by readers following my speaking engagement in Creighton on Jan. 22. My message was that radiation is natural and all around us.

Rob Clarke has now been on both the giving and receiving ends of “gotcha” partisanship. Clarke, the Conservative MP for northern Saskatchewan, was recently accused of breaching parliamentary ethics by voting for the Fair Elections Act.

Dear Editor, Mr. Mcgilvery’s letter (Feb. 4) makes some interesting points but misses the important point that society is composed of disparate individuals with disparate likes and dislikes.
