Wednesday night’s shootout win over the Melfort Mustangs ensured the Flin Flon Bombers second place in the Sherwood Division standings.

The Flin Flon Bombers skated away with a 3-2 shootout victory over the Melfort Mustangs on Wednesday. Flin Flon dominated the opening frame, managing 24 shots and taking a 2-0 lead into intermission.

No team in the SJHL is better at keeping pucks out of the net than the Flin Flon Bombers. Their problem is finding the back of the mesh themselves.

The Melville Millionaires and Yorkton Terriers represent the SJHL in this week’s CJHL Top 20 list. The Millionaires sit ninth, up from 17th spot last week. The Terriers moved from an Honourable Mention last week up to 18th position.

The Flin Flon Bombers continue to face challenges this season. This past weekend (after The Reminder went to press) they had road games against two of the top teams in the SJHL.

The Flin Flon Bombers stole four points from the La Ronge Ice Wolves this week as they defeated them at the Whitney Forum and on the road. Tuesday’s 4-0 win set the stage for the game the following night in La Ronge.

T he Flin Flon Bombers split a weekend home stand against the Humboldt Broncos, winning 3-2 Friday before losing 3-0 Saturday. The Bombers put on an impressive show as their families attended the annual Parent’s Weekend.

The Flin Flon Bombers are pleased to announce that 1994 born defenseman Danys Chartrand (Winnipeg, MB) has committed to the University of North Dakota NCAA Division I men’s hockey team for the 2015-16 season.

T he Flin Flon Creighton Ski Club is hosting their annual Open House and hope to see plenty of new, and returning, faces. The Open House will be held at the club’s Chalet – past the Centoba ball diamonds – this Sunday.
