Wednesday night’s shootout win over the Melfort Mustangs ensured the Flin Flon Bombers second place in the Sherwood Division standings.
With 22 points, the Bombers sit just four points below the Nipawin Hawks and two points above both the Melfort Mustangs and the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
With a record of 11-10-0-0, the Bombers are seventh in the SJHL with the Yorkton Terriers leading the pack with 31 points.
The Terriers lead not only the SJHL, but the Viterra Division as well.
The Melville Millionaires are ranked second in both the Division and the league – where they sat tied with the Kindersley Klippers, who are first in the Kramer Division.
The Hawks and Humboldt Broncos are next in line for the SJHL standings with 26 points.
The Weyburn Red Wings bring up the bottom of the house with 17 points – just one less than the Notre Dame Hounds.
Top 10
Flin Flon’s Brett Boehm is ranked in the top 10 of the SJHL scorers.
The Bomber veteran sits in seventh spot with nine goals and 11 assists in 21 games – good for 20 points.
Vet Cam Blair made the ninth spot in the rankings with eight goals and 12 assists in 15 games for 20 points as well.
Bomber goaltender Devin Buffalo is ranked third in the SJHL with a SAV% of 0.945 in 893 minutes played.
Buffalo has allowed 31 goals and made 528 saves, this season – earning a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 2.08.
Humboldt’s Ryland Pashovitz is ranked first with a SAV% of 0.963 in 430 minutes played.
Of his 216 shots, the goaltender has turned away 208 pucks and allowed eight goals – giving him a GAA of 1.12
