Young soccer enthusiasts are learning more than they realize through the Challenger British Soccer Camp in Creighton this week.

The Flin Flon Skatepark has had plenty of use this summer as the second competition this year recently took place. The Flin Flon Lions Club hosted its first competition at the skatepark on June 27.

The Phantom Lake Golf Course held its open tournament late last month with Jeff Woods taking first in the Championship Flight. Sixty golfers took part in the one-day tournament.

Low registration numbers have forced the cancelation of the Mobile Sailing School. The school was to take place July 8-11 in Denare Beach, but organizers called it off when the registration was less than half of the minimum needed.
