A holiday tradition lived on as Creighton Community School hosted the Festival of Trees last Saturday, Nov. 26. Elegantly decorated trees, wreaths and centrepieces gave the school gymnasium a holiday décor.

Holiday revellers will once again have a safe way to get home. Operation Red Nose will be running again in Flin Flon and area this holiday season.

After a busy week, Operation Christmas Child has broken its local record for donations to help less fortunate youth overseas. “321 [boxes] is our grand total. It’s our record so far,” said local organizer Pastor Jim Galbraith.

The 2016 Flin Flon luncheons continued on Oct. 7 with the first fall gathering at Winnipeg’s Viscount Gort Hotel. The second fall get-together was held on Nov. 4.
