North Sask Seniors Ladies’ Spades, Nov.

Two SJHL teams, the Kindersley Klippers and the Melfort Mustangs, made the CJHL Top 20 Weekly Rankings for the week ended Nov. 17.

The Festival of Trees has become a holiday favourite in the Flin Flon area. Now marking its eighth year, the CADAC-sponsored event will be held Friday, Nov. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 29 at the Creighton Community School gymnasium.

Dozens of residents attended the official lighting of the Christmas tree at Pioneer Square last Friday, Nov. 14. Members of the Flin Flon Community Choir led the crowd in singing carols, with Mayor Cal Huntley among the dignitaries in attendance.

Flin Flon Brownies remain an energetic group this year.

The second fall Flin Flon Luncheon was held at Winnipeg’s Viscount Gort Hotel on Nov. 7. There were 47 guests in attendance and not a trace of snow in the city.

Misty Willetts’s warm smile, or mischievous grin, is known and loved by many Flin Flon area residents. But if there’s one thing the community appreciates about her, it’s her heart.

As temperatures continue to drop further below zero, it becomes increasingly important for skin to be covered and residents to stay warm. CADAC will host a collection for Koats for Kids at its annual Festival of Trees on Nov.
