Sherwood Division teams could once again find themselves competing for a Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League championship. The Nipawin Hawks posted the SJHL’s best record in the 2017-2018 regular season.

The Flin Flon Bombers are moving on in the SJHL playoffs after beating Notre Dame 4-1. Flin Flon and the Hounds were deadlocked for more than half the game, until Donovan Houle-Villeneuve lit the lamp for the Bombers midway through the second.

It may have been a nail-biter, but the Flin Flon Bombers will live to see another day. In what was a win-or-go-home road game for Flin Flon, the Bombers got a big 4-3 overtime win over the Notre Dame Hounds.

The Flin Flon Bombers are behind the eight ball after a 6-4 loss to Notre Dame to open the playoffs. Notre Dame began the series with a bang, getting an early power play goal from Chance Longjohn.

Former Flin Flon Bomber Adam Blackwell is not one to back down from a challenge. In two different Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League seasons, the Saskatoon product recorded at least 200 penalty minutes.

The Flin Flon Bombers ended the regular season with a thorough dismantling of their closest rivals. Game 58 for the Bombers went into the books as a 8-3 win against the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

With a young and rookie-laden roster, the Flin Flon Bombers’ four 20-year-old players have tried to help their teammates learn the ropes of junior hockey.

Both of Hapnot Collegiate’s Kweens squads have earned their shot at provincial glory. The senior Kweens punched their ticket on their home court on Mar.

It took some late game heroics, but the Flin Flon Bombers got it done, earning a 4-3 win over Melfort.

Flips, cartwheels and split jumps come naturally for a quartet of Flin Flon gymnasts heading to the upcoming Manitoba Winter Games.
