Another day has come and gone with no new cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba - the fifth day in a row with no further positive tests for the disease province-wide.

Saskatchewan students and school staff have been given the all-clear to go back to work as scheduled in September.

Saskatchewan reported two more cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, including a new case in the far north. The two new reported cases bring the province's total number of cases up to 656, with 19 cases still considered active.

A group of protesters came to uptown Flin Flon Monday with one goal in mind - eradicating racism and ending unjust violence.

Two more people in Saskatchewan have died due to COVID-19. Both people were elders from the far north region of the province. The deaths were announced, along with four new cases of the disease, by provincial health officials June 8.

Monday marked a full two months since a case of COVID-19 was last detected in the Northern Health Region.

One new case and 12 new recoveries - Saskatchewan's COVID-19 got a little brighter over the weekend. Between June 6-7, one new case of the disease was found within the province, located in an unknown community in the far north region.

Manitoba’s total detected number of COVID-19 cases broke 300 June 5, with two new positive cases of the disease reported. Only three of those cases have been in the Northern Health Region - all those individuals have since recovered.

Nash Neufeld’s fifth birthday proved to be one he and his family won’t soon forget. The Neufelds and the community combined for a memorable ceremony, including a car parade, first responders and a big pile of food donations.

Flin Flon will play host to a protest of police violence next week. Organizers of the protest, called “Justice for the Injustice”, plan to meet June 8 from 12 p.m.-3 p.m.
