Mayor pleased with usage

RCMP and town officials in Creighton hope a recent standoff in Sturgeon Landing will trigger a review of how best to police the tiny reserve.

Flin Flon city council recently approved a planned addition to the south side of Star Auto Body Shop (left side of photo) in Channing. Coun. Bill Hanson said the addition will be on the side of the property nearest the Channing post office (right).

A regulatory announcement is good news for area residents who still rely on rabbit ears to watch TV.

Creighton RCMP are planning more initiatives now that the detachment is again fully staffed. Sgt. Mark Svaren says the detachment’s newest officer arrived last week, bringing the strength back up to six members.
