Massacre vigil on Friday

The Women’s Resourace Centre invites everyone to attend its candle vigil this Friday, Dec. 6. The event will take place on Main St. beginning at 5:15 p.m. with speeches delivered from The Bargain Shop parking lot.

Festival of Trees gets underway tonight!

A holiday tradition gets underway this evening. CADAC’s Festival of Trees runs today from 6-9:30 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Creighton Community School gym.

Over 100 years ago, Captain Joseph McFee needed to raise funds for a soup kitchen and shelter. He hung a large cooking pot on a tripod with the sign “Keep the pot boiling” to raise awareness and collect donations.

Red Nose goes

Operation Red Nose is returning for another holiday season thanks in part to the City of Flin Flon. On Tuesday city council voted to again allow the program to use the city hall boardroom as its headquarters.

The Royal Canadian Legion and The Reminder are teaming up to showcase the Flin Flon area’s rich musical talent! Flin Flon Has Talent is a musical competition that will run for five Saturday nights at the Legion lounge.
