Club comes away with victories during the SJHL opening weekend

The Flin Flon Bombers can't win them all - the club dropped a 4-2 home game to the Nipawin Hawks.

The Creighton Kodiaks jumped back on the gridiron on Sept. 12, earning their first win of the season in emphatic fashion. After dropping their opening game against archrival Sandy Bay, the Kodiaks got back to winning ways, topping La Loche 72-0.

How do you follow a game where you score seven goals and win? If you're the Flin Flon Bombers, you score eight and win again.

The season is now underway for the Creighton Kodiaks football team. The Kodiaks fell 38-12 to the Sandy Bay T-Wolves in their first game of the season, committing six costly turnovers and having at least one player injured.

Four teams up, four teams down - the Flin Flon Bombers finished off an undefeated preseason with a 6-1 win over Nipawin. The Hawks opened the scoring in the first period, with a shot by Josh Bell squeaking by the pads of Bomber goalie Jacob Delorme.

The Flin Flon Bombers are currently undefeated through the preseason, adding to the win column with a 5-1 victory over the Swan Valley Stampeders.
