Long road trips are just a part of life for the Flin Flon Bombers. Last year the Bombers travelled more than an estimated 17,000 kilometers in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. This season will not be much different for the northern team.

Most golfers don’t play their best in the snow, but that’s not the case for Lauren Fox. The Creighton Community School golfer dealt with a sudden snowfall at Saskatchewan high school golf provincials, but still cruised to a provincial title.

Flin Flon Bombers forward Nate Hooper displays the qualities of a natural leader. “Nate is one of those guys that people just really respect and gravitate to,” head coach Mike Reagan said.

The Bombers managed to earn a point after a passionate game Saturday night against Kindersley. Kindersley held off the Bombers to earn a 2-1 shootout win, despite a late push by the Bombers to tie the game and try for an overtime winner.

While it has been 40 years since Neil Meadmore played for the Flin Flon Bombers, he still remembers running at 6 am to Phantom Lake and back in training camp. That is just one of the memories Meadmore, now a Realtor in Kalamazoo, Mich.
