The future of the building at 4 Hemlock Dr. remains unclear, five years after the building was emptied. The Manitoba government has deferred a project that would have seen a 20-unit seniors’ housing complex on the site.

One of northern Manitoba’s few remaining local papers will soon stop its presses. The Snow Lake-based Underground Press will be published for the last time on Dec. 14, according to a statement sent out by the publisher of the paper.

A 39-year-old woman from Flin Flon was killed in a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 10A on Nov. 23. Flin Flon and Cranberry Portage RCMP responded to the collision just after 7 am.
