A 39-year-old woman from Flin Flon was killed in a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 10A on Nov. 23.
Flin Flon and Cranberry Portage RCMP responded to the collision just after 7 am. An initial investigation determined the vehicle was travelling eastbound on Highway 10A when it went through a stop sign at a high rate of speed and collided with a rock face on the east side of Highway 10. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It is undetermined whether alcohol was a factor in the collision. The victim was not wearing a seatbelt, and road conditions were not a factor in the collision.
The collision remains under investigation with the assistance of a RCMP forensic collision reconstructionist.
