A late comeback, overtime, ups and downs - Friday's Bomber game against La Ronge had everything Bomber fans could hope for, except for a win.

One of the Flin Flon Bombers’ youngest and furthest-away fans has received a memorable birthday gift through social media - a new jersey from his favourite team, thousands of kilometres from home.

The Creighton Kodiaks earned their biggest award this season last month. The team handed out individual hardware at their team banquet Nov. 20.

Three years ago, Travis Buick was out of school, working as a diamond driller. Recently, he became a college soccer champion, recognized as one of Manitoba’s top players.

Four up, four down. The Flin Flon Bombers will come back north having beaten all comers on their recent southern road trip, sweeping it all by beating Weyburn 4-2 Saturday night.

Two up, two down - the Bombers hit the halfway mark on their road trip with their second win in 24 hours, beating Notre Dame 3-1.

The opening game of the latest Bomber road swing was a big win – a 5-2 victory in Melville. Donavan Houle-Villeneuve got on the board in the first period, sneaking one home late in the fram to give the Bombers a 1-0 lead.

He’s fast, he’s fidgety, he’s Flin Flon’s flashiest forward – and he’s heading to a major U.S. college program. Donavan Houle-Villeneuve has committed to play with the Univ. of Maine Black Bears for the 2020-21 season.

If it wasn't for bad luck, the Bombers would have had no luck at all Saturday night, losing 3-1 to division rivals Melfort and no longer holding undisputed top spot in the Sherwood Division.
