A byelection will be held in October to fill a vacant seat on Creighton town council. Mayor Bruce Fidler and town council members approved a motion at the Aug. 8 council meeting to proceed with a byelection.

A third person has been arrested in relation to a series of threatening and hateful social media posts made last month. News of the arrest was released to The Reminder on Aug. 9. The third person has not been identified.
