The Town of Creighton is signing off on an agreement to keep the Regional Economic Development Committee (REDC) going.

The Flin Flon/Creighton and Area SPCA is looking for four new board members. SPCA president Erica Husberg said the group went into this year looking for two new members and had two leave.

The Inner Wheel is bringing their annual boot sale back for its 20th year, paying tribute to the history of the event while adding some new touches. The group began holding the sales when an Inner Wheel member headed to the U.K.

A piece of pro-LGBTQ+ graffiti has been enhanced after unknown vandals painted over the piece earlier this month. The piece consists of a heart, outlined in black, with the colours of the LGBTQ+ rainbow flag contained within painted on a rock.

Residents will notice a new face at events occurring in the Flin Flon region. Reporter Cassidy Dankochik has joined the team at The Reminder. Dankochik grew up in Gimli, Man.

Grade 9 student Jarek Osika, Flin Flon’s foremost young astronomer, has added another award to his mantle for his work with radio telescope technology.

RCMP are looking for a missing man from Nelson House who may have been heading west. Ricky Nelson Linklater, age 51, was last seen in Thompson on the evening of April 2.
