The Flin Flon Rotary Club has a new president. Dean Grove chaired his last meeting for the club on June 27, ending his year-long term. Former Creighton councillor La Verne Hinzman will now step into the role for the club.

Ray Lavis picked the perfect time to land his biggest fish of the year. The 44-inch long lake trout he landed was enough to take first place in the Trout Festival Fishing Derby.

June was a busy month at Kiddie Korner Day Care – but then again, almost every month at the daycare is a busy one. Serving infants from 22 months to six years, the daycare expands in the summer months, looking after kids as old as eight.
