Creighton RCMP were less busy this past December than they’ve been in previous years. Over the month of December, Creighton RCMP responded to 76 total calls, with most coming from within Creighton itself.

Flin Flon’s city council is proposing a total ban on the sale of single-use plastic bags. While a bylaw on the issue has not yet been introduced at a public meeting, the idea was discussed at the Jan. 7 meeting of city council.

Three people have been charged and remanded after a pair of unsuccessful muggings in uptown Flin Flon. Two incidents, both on Jan. 10, were reported to local RCMP.

Flin Flon/Creighton and Area SPCA volunteers made sure not to pick up this dangerous animal. Workers at the group’s shelter spotted a wolf patrolling near the building on Cliff Lake Road last week.
