The situation around COVID-19 in Manitoba and Saskatchewan is staying on the same path as last week - low in Manitoba, escalating in northern Saskatchewan.

Northern Saskatchewan continues to be the province’s hotbed for new COVID-19 cases. Four new cases in the far north, the only new cases reported in the province, were announced by provincial health authorities May 11.

Active COVID-19 cases have taken a slight turn up in the past few days, with two new cases of the disease reported May 11. The province is currently tracking 35 cases of the virus in the province, with none of the 35 in the Northern Health Region.
