Millarville: Homeowner not giving up despite scams, health issues

RED DEER – It was a moment shared across the country. The 2019 Canada Winter Games, with its celebratory mantra, “This is our Moment,” came to a close Saturday night (March 2) in Red Deer.

The last few years haven’t been easy for former Estevan resident William Sinclair, but he has been keeping a positive attitude and receiving a lot of support while he continues to battle cancer.

After a year of work, a massive piece of public art has been installed outside the new Minoru Centre for Active Living that incorporates the silhouettes of hundreds of locals.

We have all been exposed to online petitions in the past few years, but one that caught the eye of the media on both sides of the 49th parallel this month was unique.

Carlin Nordstrom is returning to Poundmaker to make a difference. Nordstrom is from Poundmaker Cree Nation and runs a land-based learning program called Kisik Sports, Health and Wellness, in which Chief Poundmaker School students are participating.
