The post-election party was only a few dozen feet away, but in an office at the United Steelworkers Local 7106 building, Tom Lindsey was worried. It was 11 p.m.

The first polling results for the Flin Flon riding have been counted. With four of 57 polls reporting, Tom Lindsey leads with 131 votes. Theresa Wride, running for the Progressive Conservative party, sits second with 60 votes.
