Benjamin Robert Wesley Dunbar March 6, 1939 - July 8, 2008 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Ben on July 8, 2008. Ben was born in Cranberry Portage, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his mother Harriet, stepfathers Frank Dunbar, Wesley Swelander and grandmother Lydia Cook. Dad was a gentle, loving and good humoured family man that loved his children and grandchildren. He completed his education in Winnipeg and had a fulfilling career with several mining companies across Canada. Throughout his life, Dad was active in sports and was an accomplished curler, bowler and pool player. He was a hard worker and he loved to trap for his mother and grandmother in his younger days. Ben especially enjoyed travelling with his family and enjoyed the outdoors. Ben always looked forward to family gatherings, which meant so much to him. The family is forever grateful for the time they spent together in the mountains of Tungsten in the Northwest Territories during the prime of his life. Ben and the family lived a lifetime in their many years there and they will always be cherished. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Anne and children, Pamela (Darrin), Andrea, Benjamin Jr. (Germaine) and Beverly; grandchildren Stephen, Dasan, Cole, Dylan, Keenan, Desiree, and Baby Ben; his sister Mary Hutchinson of Calgary, Alberta, nephew John Leclair (Linda) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, and niece Karen (Thom) Delleman of Clive, Alberta; his sisters-in-law Marion (Dan), Cecile (Ivan), Rita (Ronald) and his brothers-in-law Ken (Theresa), Bernard (Beverly), Ronnie and Barry (Wanda); along with Tina, Dustin and Calvin and numerous friends both near and far. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Seven Oaks Emergency Care for their kindness and compassion during our time of loss.
