Lula Nancy Charest

Annoucement of Passing

Charest, Lula Nancy of Orleans, Ontario, died peacefully on June 22, 2014 at the age of 83. Lula was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, but grew up in Flin Flon, Manitoba. She had numerous friends across the country, and was always able to find a “connection” through conversations on every level.

She was an avid Bridge player, a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan, a curling fan, and a marvelous cook. She is survived by her husband Gilles, six children: Norma-Jean Rejall (Ken), John Floch (Susan), William Floch (Joanne), Robert Floch, Barry Floch (Gosia), Suzanne Charest (Norman), 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister Norma Barr (Bob), sister-in-law Lynne Saddlemyer and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also a special mother to the Rousseau family and Dr. Claire Dionne.

Lula was predeceased by her parents Ena and John Saddlemyer, her first husband John Floch, daughter Laurie Floch, and brother John Saddlemyer.

A Remembrance and a Celebration of Lula’s Life will be held July 11, 2015, at Denare Beach.
