It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kay Lynne Neubuhr on January 9, 2015 in Flin Flon, MB. Kay Lynne was born in Swan River April 8, 1950 and raised on the family farm outside Minitonas, MB.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kay Lynne Neubuhr on January 9, 2015 in Flin Flon, MB. 

Kay Lynne was born in Swan River April 8, 1950 and raised on the family farm outside Minitonas, MB.  As a child she was active in 4H and enjoyed figure skating. From a young age, Kay Lynne’s passion was music. She was an avid pianist, organist, and singer. She continued enjoying these things throughout her life. She found joy in participating in the Flin Flon Community Choir and Borealis Choir.

Kay Lynne attended both the Teachers College at the University of Manitoba and Brandon University; beginning her professional teaching career in 1969 and eventually retiring in 2006. Throughout her years as an educator, she taught in many schools in the Flin Flon area; touching the lives of many. Kay Lynne will forever be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Al; her children; David (April) Neubuhr of Winkler, MB, Matthew Neubuhr (Danielle Koczka) of Flin Flon, MB and Melanie Neubuhr (Ron Hiebert) of  Bakers Narrows, MB and grandchildren Mila and Jacob; her brothers Craig Russenholt of Blind Bay, BC, Kirk Russenholt of St. Albert, AB, Neil (Carla) Russenholt of St. Albert AB and sister Cheryl (Richard) Shannon of Moosehorn, MB and nephews Shaun Russenholt and Justin, Michael and Riley Shannon. Kay Lynne was predeceased by her father, Clarence, and mother, Winnifred, of Minitonas, MB and brother Cameron.   

Funeral services were held on Friday, January 15 at 1:00pm at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church followed by a private family interment at East Hillside Cemetery in Flin Flon, MB.

The Neubuhr family would like to offer sincere thanks to the Flin Flon Paramedics, Home Care, Fire Department and RCMP that provided immediate assistance.  Much thanks to Dadson Funeral Home for their professionalism and kindness.  A special thank you to Moe Ricard for officiating and to those who assisted as pallbearers. Thank you to the Alliance Church Women for providing a lovely lunch, as well as all of those that sent flowers, dropped off food and provided support during this difficult time.
