Gordon Douglas Watt – 1950-2013
It is with great sadness that the family of Doug Watt of Daysland, Alberta, (formerly of Flin Flon, Manitoba) announces his passing on July 4th, 2013 with his family by his side.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Coleen; two sons; Curtis (grandchildren Nathan & Morgan) of Kingston, Ontario; Dennis & Sandy (grandchildren Jaya & Aniya) of Chestermere, Alberta; and many other family and friends.
Doug was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Helen Watt and brother Gary.
Doug enjoyed fishing, golfing & curling. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour, quick wit and warm heart. He worked for the HBM&S Company as an Instrument Mechanic, Industrial electrician and as a Process Control Technician in the IT department until his retirement on October 1st, 2010. In keeping with Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and his ashes spread on the Daysland golf course. No formal service was held.
The family would really like to thank all those who sent cards, wrote letters, made phone calls & gave donations in Doug’s name to the Heart and Stroke or Crohn’s and Colitis Foundations.
