Northern Manitoba’s biggest arts show will be coming back to Flin Flon later this spring.

It may still be months away from coming to fruition, but this year’s edition of the Blueberry Jam Music Gathering is now being planned.

"There is a very cool event coming this week within our arts and cultural community. It’s actually an online event so that means it is going to be available all over Manitoba - no, wait - all over Canada, or maybe we mean all over the world."

Flin Flon’s most active drama troupe is preparing for their first show of 2022 - a romp based on British detective novels and tropes.

"This is the last story in our retelling of the Flin Flon Community Choir’s magnificent trip to Manhattan in 2013 - though this happened not in New York City but in my beautiful Flin Flon and not in 2013, but in the spring of 2016."

Last time we talked about the Flin Flon Community Choir’s trip to New York City to sing Handel’s Messiah in 2013. We were singing with a mass choir from all over the world.

One of Flin Flon’s leading voices in support of arts and culture has died. Linda Allen, a long-time arts volunteer, organizer and benefactor, died Christmas Day after a life often spent in service to the things that made Flin Flon unique.
