TORONTO — One man is in hospital and another person is in police custody following a stabbing at an apartment building in Toronto's west end. At about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, police were called to a building near South Kingsway and Ormskirk Avenue.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall for Golden Mushroom brand Enoki mushrooms due to a possible Listeria contamination. The product was sold in 200g packages in Ontario and may also have been distributed nationally.

CALGARY — The Calgary Police Homicide Unit is investigating the suspicious death of a woman who was dropped off at a hospital with extensive injuries. Police say the injured woman was left at the Foothills Medical Centre on Friday, Sept. 15.

BURNABY, B.C. — The RCMP Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in to investigate a fatal shooting in Burnaby. Burnaby RCMP were called to the North Road and Cameron Street area just after 5:00 p.m. Saturday for reports of gunshots.
