Flin Flon, Creighton and area voters join all Canadian voters in heading to the polls this Monday, Oct. 19 for the federal election.
Polls will be open from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm local time.
Flin Flon, Manitoba, residents will vote at either the Flin Flon Community Hall (2 North Avenue), St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Parish (163 Centre Street) or Northminster Memorial United Church (250 Bracken Street).
Residents are asked to refer to the Voter Information Card they should have received in the mail. The card tells them where they will vote.

All Canadian voters are required to prove their identity and address when voting. There are three options to do so:
• Show one of your driver’s licence, your provincial ID card or any other government card with your photo, name and current address.
• Show two pieces of ID, at least one of which must have your current address. These forms of ID can include health cards, Canadian passports, personal cheques, bank statements, labels on prescription containers or debit cards, among others. E-statements and e-invoices are acceptable and can be either printed or shown on a mobile device.
• If your ID does not have your current address, you may take an oath. This process involves showing two pieces of ID with your name and having someone who knows you attest to your address. This person must show proof of his or her identity and address, be registered in the same polling division, and attest for only one person.
Flin Flon, Manitoba, residents will choose from five candidates in the Churchill-Keewatinook Aski riding. Flin Flon, Saskatchewan, Creighton and Denare Beach voters will choose from four candidates in the Desnethé-Missinippi-Churchill River riding.
