First place winners Jeff Chuchmuch and Danielle Thomas celebrate with their trophy; the pair also earned a $3,500 cash prize. Danielle Thomas also won the Candace Danielson Memorial Trophy, awarded to the woman who brings in the largest trout (Thomas’ catch was 33”); Chuchmuch won the prize for the largest fish caught on Saturday, a 42.75-inch trout.

The Hard Luck Prize is always a comical highlight of the Trout Challenge awards ceremony. This year’s prize went to brother Mike and Dave Evans, who hit someone’s wake, which ripped off their trolling motor. They then proceeded to drive over it.

A shotgun start on Saturday morning kicked off the tournament, with 63 boats taking off in search of the biggest trout.
