École McIsaac School students celebrated the100th day of school on Thursday, Feb. 18 with the help of six Flin Flon Bombers.

Braden Lacoursiere, Tyson Empey, Joseph Leonidas, Rylee Zimmer, Greyson Reitmeier and Mason Etter visited the school to mark the occasion.

Grades 1 and 2 students rotated through a series of five stations with activities focused on the number 100.

One-hundred is very important, as it is the number that many of the curriculum outcomes work towards in these two grades.

It also signifies that the school year is more than half over.

Students built 100-piece puzzles, completed an obstacle course with 100 obstacles, read 100 books, made crowns decorated with 100 decorations and took 100 shots on Bombers who took turns playing net.

As the afternoon came to an end, the kids left excited, with some claiming it was the best day ever.

The Bombers also spent two evenings recognizing the people who keep the community safe.

First stop was the Flin Flon RCMP detachment, where the Bombers gave pizza and snacks, provided by Dominos Pizza, to police from Flin Flon and Creighton.

The Bombers also arranged for pizza to be delivered to emergency medical services, and stopped by the Flin Flon Fire Department to share pizza with firefighters.
