Three down, nine to go. The Bombers have their third win in three playoff games, shelving the Broncos 6-1 on away ice.

The Bombers, much like the first two games in the series, opened the scoring early. Cole Rafuse lit the lamp, for the fifth time in the past two games, only 2:16 into the game. Late in the period, with Humboldt rookie Logan Kurki in the box, Donavan Houle-Villeneuve found the twine on the powerplay, giving the Bombers a 2-0 win after 20 minutes.

More offence came early in the second – only nine seconds in. Tristan Lemyre snagged a goal right out the gate, putting Flin Flon ahead 3-0. Rafuse added another one later in the period.

Humboldt salvaged a goal on the powerplay late in the second, courtesy of defender Doug Scott, breaking Bomber goalie Jacob Delorme’s shutout bid.

Easton Haygarth restored the four goal lead for the Bombers, scoring on another Bronco powerplay. Dane Hirst did the same moments later, putting Game 3 well out of the Broncos’ reach.

With the Broncos facing down their third straight loss, the game got dirty. Humboldt's top scorer, Logan Foster, scrapped with Ryder Richmond with only moments to go, while both Graysen Cameron of the Broncos and Bomber captain Mason Martin were given 10 minute misconducts. The Broncos would end the game with over an hour in penalty minutes.

Delorme got his third straight win, making 29 saves. Michael Harroch gave up six goals and made 24 stops in the Bronco loss.

The Broncos-Bombers game was the only rout on the night in the SJHL playoffs. Battleford went up 3-0 in their series, beating Nipawin 4-2, while Yorkton hung on to beat La Ronge 6-5. Melfort and Estevan were going to overtime, tied at 1-1.

Flin Flon will try to eliminate the Broncos in Game 4 Wednesday night in Humboldt.
