The opening game of the latest Bomber road swing was a big win – a 5-2 victory in Melville.

Donavan Houle-Villeneuve got on the board in the first period, sneaking one home late in the fram to give the Bombers a 1-0 lead. Chase Haygarth doubled the lead in the early second before the Millionaires’ offence woke up.

Luke Spadafora snapped Jacob Delorme’s shutout five minutes into the second, with Tanner Brown tying the game halfway through the period. The two teams entered the period 2-2.

Easton Haygarth helped put the game on ice early in the second, scoring the eventual game-winner on the powerplay. Caleb Franklin scored on a strange bounce halfway through the third and Tristan Lemyre added an empty-netter late.

Delorme had a relatively quiet night in the Bomber net, making only 20 saves en route to the win. Berk Berkeliev stopped 28 pucks on the evening.

The Bombers’ southern road trip continues through Wilcox Wednesday night, with the Bombers facing Notre Dame before dates in Estevan and Weyburn Friday and Saturday.
