Video: Ice making process underway at Affinity Place for Home Hardware Canada Cup

The process of making the ice for the Home Hardware Canada Cup curling event at Affinity Place is underway. The ice-making started on Sunday, after the last of the takedown for the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation's Festival of Trees was complete.

The process of making the ice for the Home Hardware Canada Cup curling event at Affinity Place is underway.

The ice-making started on Sunday, after the last of the takedown for the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation's Festival of Trees was complete. The ice-making crew will have two days to convert Affinity Place into a curling rink, as the teams are scheduled to practice on Tuesday.

The opening games for the Canada Cup are Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.

The Canada Cup will bring eight of the top women's curling teams and seven of the best men's curling teams in the country to Estevan for the competition. The round robin will be throughout the day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and on Saturday morning, and the playoffs will be Saturday and Sunday.
