A Cold Lake pizza delivery driver was just trying to do his job when he was confronted by an armed suspect.
On March 3, RCMP were called at around 7:30 p.m. to a complaint of an attmpted robbery with the threat of violence at the Millenium Meadows Apartments.
A pizza delivery driver reported he was approached in the elevator by an unknown suspect described as a native male in his 30’s, approximately 5’6” to 5’10” in height, and 250-lbs.
The suspect was wearing a white jacket with blue jeans.
According to the RCMP, the suspect demanded money from the victim and threatened violence with a weapon.
The delivery driver hit the suspect, knocked him down, left the scene, and called police.
The suspect had fled the area before police arrived.

Break and enter at Cherry Grove church
Cold Lake RCMP are investigating a break and enter at the Church of Latter Day Saints in Cherry Grove that took place sometime between March 1 and 3.
According to RCMP, the front doors of the church were damaged in the incident, and it appears as though the suspects went through the church offices.

Police investigating van theft
On March 5, Cold Lake RCMP received a 911 call regarding a theft in progress.
A white work van was being stolen from Cold Lake north.
Police responded and located the vehicle as it was fleeing.
The suspect drove in circles through residential neighbourhoods and RCMP made the decision not to engage the suspect until the vehicle was in a safe rural location.
The suspect refused to stop for police, but ultimately got stuck in a ditch by the municipal airport.
Warren Johannesen-Quail, 29, appeared to be under the infuence of drugs.
He was arrested and has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, four counts of breaching a recognizance, two counts of breaching probation, criminal flight from police, and operation of a motor vehicle while suspended.
Further investigation is ongoing into whether the suspect was impaired while operating the vehicle.
