Flin Flon residents get a pretty full range of services from our city. I can’t think of anything in particular I’d want that we’re not already getting.
There’s always room for improvement, of course. It would be nice to see the Aqua Centre upgraded, and maybe an extra pass or two from the plows down our back alley in the winter.
In terms of services we’re not getting at all, the spring clean-up is the only thing that comes to mind, but that was a luxury item you don’t see in many municipalities. I don’t think it’s worth a tax hike to pay for it.

With what is on the table at present (continued cost to the water treatment plant, private fundraising for the new ER planned for the hospital, etc.), an increase in taxes for more services would not be welcomed by most.
Recent tax hikes have come on the heels of increases to utilities and hydro, which has been a bitter pill to swallow.
The city, based on its finances, struggles to maintain the services we now have, so why add to their burden by pursuing even more services? Maintaining the status quo could well be their only option for now.

The most common complaint right now is about higher taxes in Flin Flon. I would not willingly pay for any more services.
I would like to see a new exterior envelope for the Aqua Centre; hopefully fundraising and grants would cover most of it.
When water and sewer lines break, we need the immediate service we usually get. If only they didn’t have to get dug up soon after… and after… and after…
