On the weekend of Feb. 27 and 28, the Snow Lake Spartans Squirt and Novice teams held separate invitational tournaments.
The Squirts Tourney on the 27th featured three teams from Thompson and one each from Flin Flon, Wabowden, OCN, The Pas and Snow Lake.
The Novice Event the following day had two teams from Thompson and one each from The Pas and Snow Lake in attendance.
From all indications the tournaments went off without a hitch; the rink was packed and most importantly, the kids had a wonderful weekend!
“It was very well organized, ran smoothly and we had great attendance,” said parent and volunteer Jodi Lobert. “A very proud moment took place when the squirts won their first game this year, so as parents we were all very proud as well. They played their little hearts out.”
