Local business owner Chris Samborski (Cornerview Enterprises) was a delegate at the April 7 regular meeting of the Snow Lake Town Council.
He advised council members that Snow Lake resident Randy Stoltz recently won $15,000 through a promotion by one of his suppliers.
A benefit of the win was that a further $10,000 was also available for a community project.
Samborski wondered if the town was interested in partnering on an improvement/expansion to either the play structure or the water mushroom at the Sunset Bay Beach.
He said the town should have close to $30,000 in their playground reserve and that this coupled with the $10,000 he was offering could do something substantial.
Later in the meeting, council decided to go ahead with the partnership and details will be hammered out in the coming months.
