Snow Lake’s town council went in camera to discuss the Personnel/Hiring Committee’s recommendations during the later portion of their July council meeting.
The recommendations were with respect to several jobs that had recently been advertised.
After closing the in camera session, councillors returned to the regular meeting and passed a resolution to hire Shelley Powell as the town’s community development officer and economic development officer at the hourly wage of $26.
Five council members voted for the resolution and two voted against it.
Council also passed a resolution to hire Taylor Gensisky as the maintenance man / mechanic at the hourly wage of $29.75.
They further passed a resolution to hire Dennis Stringer as a maintenance / utility man at the hourly wage of $29.75.
Council is currently advertising for a town foreman, a position that became vacant in the past several weeks.
