Local MLA Clarence Pettersen and his executive assistant, Colleen Ford, were in Snow Lake with cheques in hand on the afternoon of Tuesday August 14.
After a working lunch with Snow Lake Mayor Kim Stephen, a couple of councillors, and Snow Lake chief administrative officer Jordan Wilner, the MLA and his assistant headed over to the Snow Lake Mining Museum (SLMM) to meet with board chair Paul Hawman.
There, Pettersen presented the chairperson with a cheque in the amount of $12,290.71 from the Manitoba Community
Places Program North Project, a program of the Department of Housing and Community Development, for completion of facility exterior repairs for the museum
Following this, the two whisked over to the Family Resource Centre to catch up with Daycare Director Judy Menge.
Upon arrival, Pettersen handed over a cheque to Ms. Menge in the amount of $21,000 also from the Manitoba Community Places Program North Project, for interior renovations to the Northern Tykes Day Care Centre.
